Just had an idea for an easy "tool" to get the stiffest axis marked on a blank. Just calibrate the clip on the butt-end of a blank as shown on the foto. With the same procedure done on the smaller hole of the clip, you can mark a tip section too.
Find the spine, mark it with the clip and you have a 90° spot to set the marks for the stiffest axis. Beyond that it will be more easy to get the marks set for setting up the guides opposite the spine.

Check the Straightest Axises also to be sure In-case it has a bend in it
