Looks pretty good to me Al. You have a lot of work ahead of you if you are going to do each of the weaves in the book. Keep your mind and eyes open while doing some of them and you will see other type wraps you will want to do.

Thanks Doc. I do plan on doing all of them I can. Gonna have to find a smoother wood dowel to practice on. The one I used makes it hard to push the theads around

Use 1/2"PVC - that's waht Mike Joyce has been practicing on - it's easier than wrapping on a blank with that.

Thanks Billy I'll give that a try. Plastic sure would be a lot smoother than wood.

Depot/Lowes...1/2" C...repeat "C" PVC (beige color) is an ideal medium for wasting thread , even spacing ( a no brainer)...$3.00 for 10 ft...someday I'll stop practicing and actually build a fishing rod. Untill then.. I'll pretend to build rods. LOL!!!!
