This was the handle installed during a rebuild. I didn't build this grip/seat though. I had a friend do it who's work I have seen in the past (and drooled over). The rebuild was a surprise for a friend who thought he was just getting 2 guides repaired.

Great piece of spalted maple. Works really well with the rest of the rod. Cool to do it as a surprise.

Tony - You're right. It was just a great piece of wood. I didn't place it best angle for the pic. It just looked awesome all the way round. Can't beat mother nature.
