Clean and simple Bill. The finish work looks gin clear, do you just put it on the thread or do you put in between the feet of the guide?

?Cold? It's 65 degrees out. What do you do in January? You should look into a drying box with a really warm heat source.

65 maybe during the day. Then it hits 40-45 at night. Can't fit a box, but maybe some heat lamps Buy january the heat will be turned on

It's that cold INSIDE your apartment? You might want to get a Heating Unit & a little insulation. lol. Close the windows!
