I'm in the process of mocking up a grip for a Batson Ultra Light IP840 and I'm looking for your opinions. It's my first attempt at segmenting EVA, and I like the out come of the grip. I'm not so sure about the reel seat; I'm wondering if it's to much black or if I should look for an acrylic with more yellow in it, some thing seems just a little off. I'm also kicking around titainium skeletons for the spinning seat instead of the black rings. Any Ideas are welcome, thanks Mark.

It's different and therefore worthwhile. Wrapping black with yellow trim could be a nice way to round out the total package.

I like the sceme very much Mark. Like you, I'd like more yellow in the seat but not to much more. I'd definately stay with the black hardware though unless the plan is for more titanium in the guides or wraps. Even then I think the black hardware matches up with the black EVA and blank very well.

Like the grips. Very sharp and different. I think that some yellow in seat may take away from nice grips which are the focal point. Yellow accent in guides as Tom mentioned would work.

With just the two main very contrasting colors in black and bright yellow I wouldn't go with more of one or the other to complete it. I like the idea of just a touch of a third flavor like titanium/silver skeletons you mentioned to show off the other two colors. Or perhaps leave the skeletons as is and just frame the handle parts (i.e. silver/titanium winding check, butt cap, trims between the grips and the seat). Though it feels strange offering someone like you an opinion on style. Your designs are always so impressive.
