This wrapper head stock was made from a 2X6 pine board, using a sewing machine motor, a 1/2 inch threaded shaft for the head stock, a 1/4 inch shaft for the reducing shaft with bearings pressed into - just fitting holes drilled into the wood.
The head stock shaft was fitted with a common inexpensive 1/2 inch drill chuck which threads on the shaft. To use this chuck, simply insert a blank piece into the chuck and then insert the blank piece into the open end of the unfinished rod, building it up with masking tape as needed for a tight fit.
