THat knob on the end - they make a rubber ball gimbal cover which allows you ti fight large fish stand up from your hip, rather than from a gimbal. Much more comfortable than teh gimbal or standard butt cap stabbing you in teh side. I assume the same concept was used on your rod? Nice job.

I can't take credit for the leather work. The knob end was built up with leather in order to for the turks head to hold. Guy that did this for me makes whips. Thought it'd be something different to play with.
