Clean and Sano Erik. What type of rod is it? I notice it is a split grip so I am assuming something light for sensitivity.

It's a Pac Bay tradition TRSP721-2 which is an Extra-Light action spinning rod with moderate action. The blank has that plumb colored finish which doesn't show up well in the photo. Also... the name is a decal from decal connection.

Good work - I don't build a lot of spinning rods, just a few, but looking at this picture I think I will go with a no foregrip and shortening of the reel seat on my next one. I am having pretty good success with the no fore grip and cutting back on the seats for casting rods as per the Forhan Revolver Rod methodology. Do you see any reason that it would not work?
