Here is a part I make from a regular Mudhole dimpled winding check which I turn down to fit in front of a standard reel seat.

That finishes it nicely. Nice looking wraps, too. Where do you get those hook keepers?

That hook keeper is made by Pac Bay, it is my favorite since it works very well and is very inexpensive, I can’t even make my own for what they cost. Unfortunately Mudhole has stopped selling them, I don’t know if Pac Bay still makes them or not, I plan to check that out at the show. If they stopped making them I will have to try getting as many as I can and hoard them.

I had some and I just used the last two and I didn't remember where I got them. Thanks, they are in PacBay's catalog as the HLS hook latch.
