Combination of different cork and eva butt. I made the butt cap big because I can always make it smaller if it feels too large.

why do you have two stripper guides so close together on th butt of the rod?

After the stripper is the "tamer" guide. It is supposed to direct the line straighter when shooting line. I didn't scientifically test cast it with and without so we'll never know.

Ok I had not seen that before. I am guessing that it doesnt effect the rest of the lay out and so could be done at a later time. I could see how that might help when using shooting heads a a limp running line.
