I Like it. One thing I might do is where you are using the dark purple to close is to put another color for one or two threads in the middle to break it up a little. Maybe orange to bring out the orange from the other design

wrap looks cool I would take out that purple band and and make a thinner band with like 3 threads orange and two yellow.The variation in the wrap is cool. try to make that band the same size as the main pattern band,thats just my prefrence..
