I have been field testing a Batson XP845 popping rod that I got from Lance. I like it so much that I ordered another one. This rod is perfect for fishing in the marshes throwing cork and shrimp. I also fished the rod with a Gulp new penny shrimp and caught a couple of keeper trout.

Field Testing? Let's just call it what it really is - fishing. Seriously, nice fish.

I have been trying to find a rod blank with a similar action to an old GLoomis live bait blank that I got in '83. I spoke to Karry Batson and Lance Dupre and both suggested this blank. It is a winner for my style of fishing. And tomorrow I will call it eating the test results.
