Outrageously unique, Tom. Now that's thinking outside the box!

Thanks. I'm afraid it's not entirely practical but it was something I've been wanting to try. I did learn some things that I think will prove beneficial on other projects.

Super nice!!

What makes it "not entirely practical"?

If it were opaque then small scratches and scuffs wouldn't matter. From a functional aspect, they still don't. However, they make a clear object lose luster and clarity, which are the two things I would think would be the purpose of having such a grip in the first place.

tom thats the only problem with clear acrylics,, but you can always buff them out,, but I love the work,, the shading on the rod really sets it off

Really like this Tom and don't see any problem with the scratches on the acrylic.
Like we do with cork, can be sanded and polished.
