Thats way cool,just out of curiosity can this be done on opposite sites? so it can be under the guide on 2 sides when you look at the rod sideways?

Yes, it could be done but the rod would have to be quite heavy as this pattern is 15mm high and 37mm wide. One could make it smaller using 00 silk though.
