Mike, I love it. I am getting ready to do my first. Plan is to use a forstner bit for the opening and recess it. What did you do to cover it? Casting Resin?

Ijust used 2 part guide epoxy. If you can get a new coin or one from a mint set the coin will look alot cleaner this one came from a mint set and I gave the rest of the set to girl that the rod was built for.
