Lately I've been printing out my VW pattern, cutting one of the repeats out, and taping it to teh blank between teh double stick tape & where the actual wrap will go. I use this as a guide for my layout threads, no more mesuring. Just print it out in a couple of sizes, wrap it around the blank until I find which size looks best, and use that as a template.

Actually, Dave has said you can print out the entire wrap and if you enter the correct dimensions, you can get the exact spacing for the whole wrap right there. I just took that idea, and used it for the layout threads. A tutorial can be done, it's just goign to take some time. Next up for me is putting together a small booklet of new Patterns to be sold in Charlotte & hopefully by a few Suppliers. Similar ot teh FlexCoat booklet, but with better instructions, photo's & patterns. Hopefully I'll find the time to get it done.

Before you sell on EBAY, sell via e-mail. Sale on bowling balls with Hawkers? lol. Thanks Mark - i hate to plug VW as much as I do, but I use it for every single rod I've built, without it I would be a little lost at this point. Plus it's fun to work in VW at work, and get paid for it, lol.
