I mentioned to rotate the lathe clockwise, opposite of normal rotation. Try it, it works!

Is that under power, or do you hand turn? If that is under power you should really remove the photo so somoene doesn't seriously hurt themselves.And add more info on what you are doin, if someone guesses at what you are doing and gets injured, I wonder if they would try to sue At least use a tool rest.
