The whole rod looks fantastic. That Funnel Web Spider in attack mode weave by Owen is amazingly life like and for those who may not be aware, it is the deadliest spider in the world. The craftsmanship by all contributors is a credit to each of you.

The rod is going to Chris for thread wraps and then off to Doc for one last treatment. I beleive that Doc is going to raffle off the rod at the West Coast show for charity. When the rod is done it will have been to Aus, Brazil, UK and the US twice. Not quite around the globe, but a fun trip.

The two spiders on the web.. used nail's enamel painted with a toothpick, but was the second I did with the technique, I have to learn more.

To see in person the works of Mark and Owen was fantastic. The Mark's wood handle....wow....no words to describe it.
The Owen's spider weave looks like life...is worderfull.

Beautiful project, guys! I don't know what else can be done, except wrapping the guides, but I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product. I'm down for some raffle tickets if that's the way it happens.
