I tried to get both pics together, thats the best I can do, I can weave them but thats it.6 Layers over 300 threads 62 Steps it is very small but a strong effect on the rod

...300 patterns threads!!!! What size madeira are you using for the pattern threads in relation to the wrapping thread?

Nice job Mark. You need to put the camera on a tri pod and just rotate the rod between shots so the focal distance and position don't change.

Hi Michael
It is a 60 thread pattern with 62 steps, but you got 6 Layers ( 60,60, 53,52,35 and 43) the thread I used in this weave was Madeira 40 and Rice B for the background.

Thanks Mark, Its good to know what might be a good wrapping thread for the 40wt. The set up alone must take a awhile.
