What threads did you use? Came out pretty good. IMO - put the metallic thread on before you make teh BLue diamond so it blends in a little better. Still, very nice, especially for your #1.

Since you've got nothing else to do - try this with Madeira. Keep it simple though - the colors get darker ratehr than lighter - I'm curious to see what it would look like. Get to work !!! lol. Tartan Man.

Thought about it, but I thought it would become one big fisheye without color preserver. Where's the whip cracking sound..lol

Excellent job Mike. Like you I put on the trim thread last, otherwise it is almost impossible to center it between the diamonds.

No color preserver. I made a diamond pattern over an underwrap of NCP white thread, and then filled in the rest of the space with regular white thread and then finish.
