I know that Crystal Coat is a different formulation, but when I built a rod and used Crystal Coat I only ever mixed one batch. I mixed in a film canister applied a coat and placed the film canister in the freezer. For each successive coat I removed from the freezer, warmed the canister in the palm of my hand, applied the coat and returned to the freezer.
