Jerry, I used Tite-Bond Polyurethane [ link ] I know there are many that don't like polyurethane glues, but I built an elliptical using the material in your photo with epoxy and wood and half way through the drilling process it blew apart. I built another in this photo [ link ] using the Tite-Bond Polyurethane and there wasn't any problems drilling or turning. I also used the knife material and polyurethane glue on this grip [ link ] and had no problems with the materials coming loose. I think if you try it you would like it, I should also note that not all polyurethanes are the same. I have tried Gorilla Glue and didn't like it, I also know that Bill Stevens has had some luck with Sumo glue. You may want to experiment with a couple of the poly's and see how you make out. BTW beautiful job on the checkers and the grip.

Mark, thanks for taking the time to post the info. I've located a local source for the Titebond poly and will seek them out come Friday. BTW, your work shown on the links provided is stunning! Now you've earned a free toothpull'n at the Big Show...if I can find an assistant... Bill S., will you be handy to pass the hammer when I need it?

Jerry - From Tac to Sledge - Anything for one who has the hutzpa to sit in front of a Pawn Shop in North Dallas! I may even provide a free charge of Laughing Gas!
The guy who built the reel and the side plate called me today and told me he needed 350 Yards of the Berkley Fireline so he could balance it all out. You are the only one that knows where all this is headed!
