Thats just what this reel seat needs to be comfortable. Nice thinking. Do you epoxy that piece on? It would probably take me a day to make my first one.

Thanks guys. Mike, the ferrule tool just snaps into the gap on the seat. It's shaped to fit tightly and not move around while I'm casting but it can be popped off if needed to un-stick a ferrule.
