Built my first rod during high school with a friend just for kicks and really enjoyed it. Started dabbling in it on my own after college (it's not like I had a social life to keep me busy). I acquired equipment and gadgets over the years including a wood lathe. Started turning exotic wood handle parts and then experimented with acrylics. Now the vast majority of my handles are some combination of wood and acrylics.
I'm a hobbyist primarily building for friends, family, and the occasional charitable auction. I'm married with twin sons and a daughter living in Carver MN. |
